Rent & Utility Assistance

Stay Safe, Keep the Lights On, and the Water Running

WSFB provides emergency financial assistance for past-due rent, utilities, or move-in expenses. Emergency financial assistance is available once every 12 months to West Seattle and White Center residents in the following zip codes: 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136, and 98146.  Please call 206.932.4357 to leave a message and a volunteer will return your call to complete an application. If you cannot call, complete an online application here.

Financial support helps members of our community stay safe in their homes and keeps the lights on and the water running. 

Bus Tickets

Get Where You Need to Go

Whether it’s a medical appointment, a job interview, or trip taking the kids to school, WSFB can provide bus tickets to help you get where you need to go. In partnership with King County Metro, we provide packs of bus tickets to our neighbors who meet the income requirements (must be below 138% of the federal poverty level). Our bus tickets are available to community members experiencing homelessness and to West Seattle and White Center residents in the following zip codes: 98106, 98116, 98126, 98136, and 98146. The Clothesline

At our free clothing store, the Clothesline, customers can shop for new and like-new clothing. Our store has selections for all ages, from infant to adult. Scheduling an appointment is necessary during COVID-19 and easy: call 206.932.4357 or make an appointment online at westseattlefoodbank.org/clothesline

Currently, the Clothesline is open every Tuesday and Thursday for the first Saturday each month for anyone in the greater Seattle area to shop.
