The West Seattle Food Bank can only do its work because of the dedicated support we receive from the West Seattle community – from businesses, individuals, churches, schools, community organizations and our community service partners. There are easy ways to help our neighbors that are struggling.

Workplace Giving
Payroll deductions are one of the easiest ways to support the Food Bank. Simply ask your human resources department to automatically deduct your donation from your paycheck. Gifts can be either one-time or recurring as a Circle of Neighbor member.
Employer Gift Matching Program
Many companies will double or triple charitable donations. Some companies even match donations made by spouses or retirees.
Check with your employer to see if they have a Matching Gift Program. If they do, any time you donate or volunteer, notify your employer (either by you filling out a form or by sending a form to us to fill out) and they will match your gift.
Planned Giving
By including the West Seattle Food Bank in your estate planning, you are investing in the continued health and well-being of our community.
Beneficiary Designation – Want to make a meaningful gift supporting the Food Bank’s mission even after your lifetime? You can designate the West Seattle Food Bank as a beneficiary of a part or all of your retirement plan assets or insurance policies by completing a form from your account provider.
This is separate from your will or trust. Not only is it an easy way to give, but it is also flexible — you can review and adjust your beneficiary designations at any time. As a nonprofit organization, we are tax-exempt and we will receive the full amount of what you designate to us from your plan.
Bequest Gifts – Give a specific item of property (e.g. cash, stock, real estate) to the Food Bank by adding us to a will or trust document.
Gifts of Stock – Donating stock and mutual fund shares are wonderful ways to support the Food Bank. Making a gift of securities is simple and offers a number of valuable financial benefits.
